Revolutionizing Law Enforcement: The Biggest Shake-Up in Police History
A major reshuffle has been made at the senior level of the Bangladesh Police. Today, Sunday (September 1), the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs published the information regarding the transfer and posting of 67 officers.
Transfer of 26 people from DIG rank
26 officers of the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Additional DIG have been transferred to different units. The transfer was made in a notification issued by Police Branch-1 of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday. By order of the President, the Deputy Secretary signed Md. the notice. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh.
The transferred officers are – Additional DIG (TDS) and currently promoted as DIG Supernumerary Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Supernumerary DIG of Tangail PTC and currently promoted as Additional DIG Abu Nasher Mohammad Khaled and DIG Additional (T&IM) and currently promoted as Supernumerary DIG Md. Akram Hossain has been transferred to police headquarters, Sardar Nurul Amin, SP Tourism Police and currently promoted as DIG Supernumerary, has been transferred to the post of Director (DIG) Central Police Hospital Rajarbagh, and GM Azizur Rahman, Additional DIG from SB and currently being promoted as Additional DIG, has been transferred to the Special Branch.
In addition, the additional DIG is from SB and is currently being promoted to additional DIG. Sarwar, Superintendent of Police RRF Chittagong is currently promoted to DIG Supernumerary. Mahmudur Rahman transferred to Special Branch.
Posting of 22 Superintendents of Police in DMP
22 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police working in various police units have been posted as Deputy Commissioners of Police in the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The transfer was made in a notification issued by Police Branch-1 of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday. By order of the President, the Deputy Secretary signed Md. the notice. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh.
The Deputy Commissioners posted in DMP are – Mohammad Osman Gani, Additional Deputy Commissioner DMP and currently promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Taherul Haq Chauhan, Additional Deputy Commissioner DMP and currently when promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner DMP and currently promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police. Shamim Hossain, Head (Superintendent of Police) of Gazipur In-Service Training Centre. Saleh Uddin, Additional Deputy Commissioner DMP and currently being promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police. Sarwar Jahan, Additional Superintendent of Police Industrial Zone and currently promoted Superintendent of Police Abul Fazal Mohammad Tariq Hossain Khan, Superintendent of Police HQ Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Superintendent of Police PBI Mohammad Makshuder Rahman, Special Superintendent CID. Mizanur Rahman and Md. Nazrul Islam, Superintendent of Police Dhaka APBN-12 Mohammad Manzoor Ahmed Siddiqui and Superintendent of Police Dhaka Police Directorate (TR) Dewan Jalal Uddin Chowdhury.
In addition, the officers posted as deputy commissioners of police in DMP are Additional Superintendent of Police RRF Rangpur and are currently being promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Mia Mohammad Ashish Bin Hasan, CID Special Superintendent of Police Tahmina Takia and RAB Police Superintendents Mohammad Noore Alam and Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid.
Transfer of 19 Superintendents of Police
19 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police working in different units of Bangladesh Police have been transferred. By order of the President, the Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Department (Police Branch-1) of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday. They were conveyed in a notice signed by Mahabur Rahman Sheikh. The notice states that this order issued in the public interest will come into effect immediately.
