ring-wandering-international-film-festival-of-india | Goa Film Festival: Golden Peacock Ring for Wandering

Panaji: The Japanese film Ring Wandering won the Golden Peacock for Best Picture at the 52nd Goa International Film Festival. Kadranka won the Silver Peacock for Best Director for Saving One Who Was Dead. His performance in Godavari earned Jitendra Joshi the Best Actor award. Angelina Jolie was named Best Actress for her performance in Charlotte.

Union Minister for Communications and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur presented the awards. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and others were present on the occasion.

During the nine-day festival, 148 films from 73 countries were screened. Fifteen films competed for the Golden Peacock Award.

The awards for the BRICS Film Festival, which coincided with the International Film Festival, were also announced. Dhanush won the Best Actor award for his performance in Asuran.
