Food upcycling startup Reharvest has launched ‘Re:bake’, a bread brand made with alternative ingredients to flour. This innovative brand uses ‘Rynergy Powder’, an alternative raw material that upcycles by-products generated during the manufacturing process of grain-based foods such as beer and sikhye.
Re:bake reduces resource waste while being rich in taste and nutritionally high in dietary fiber and protein. Reharvest plans to operate the Re:bake brand with the slogan, ‘Healthy bread tastes good and is good for the environment.’
Initially, Reharvest has launched ‘3 types of zero sugar bagels (plain, everything, truffle)’ that are rich in protein and dietary fiber and contain no added sugar. A Reharvest official stated, “Consumers will be able to feel psychological satisfaction that they are taking care of the environment and their health at the same time just by consuming the product.”
