Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Leads Team to Provide Rehabilitation Assistance in Flood-Affected Areas
On September 21, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Anutin Chanvirakul led a team to Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, and Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, to provide rehabilitation assistance in the area after the water receded.
Minister of Social Development and Human Security Warawut Silpa-archa and Deputy Interior Minister Theerarat Samremwanich joined the visit, along with heads of state agencies and enterprises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Rehabilitation Efforts Underway in Flood-Affected Areas
The team visited the affected areas to assess the damage and provide assistance to the people. They also encouraged the people and officials working in the area to continue their efforts in the recovery period.
Deputy Prime Minister Anutin emphasized that the government is committed to helping the people affected by the floods and will not abandon them. He also commended the village chief for his diligence and concern for the people.
Government Provides Relief Assistance to Flood-Affected Areas
The government has approved relief assistance of over 3,000 million baht to help the people affected by the floods. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation is working to implement the measures and bring the money to the people as quickly as possible.
Deputy Prime Minister Anutin and Minister of Social Development and Human Security Warawut Silpa-archa emphasized that the government is committed to helping the people and will not abandon them. They encouraged the people to have courage and assured them that the government will do its best to bring their lives back to normal.
