Ningxia Industrial Union Workers’ Games: A Celebration of Labor and Teamwork
The Ningxia Industrial Union Workers’ Games kicked off on September 9 at the Ningxia Water Sports Center, bringing together over 1,200 employees from more than 60 enterprises in the autonomous region. The five-day event features two major events, basketball and badminton, as well as over 10 minor events.
The Games are jointly organized by the Ningxia Federation of Trade Unions of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports, the Ningxia Federation of Trade Unions of Energy, Chemical Industry, Metallurgy and Communications, and the Ningxia Federation of Trade Unions of Agriculture, Forestry, Water Resources, Finance and Light Industry. The theme of the Games is “Chinese Dream, Beauty of Labor, Heart to Heart,” aiming to implement the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the 13th Congress of the Autonomous Region Federation of Trade Unions.
The first day of competition saw intense matches, with players showcasing their skills and teamwork. The audience cheered on, creating an electric atmosphere. The Games provide an opportunity for workers of all ethnic groups to relax and enjoy the joy and passion brought by sports, while also stimulating their collective sense of honor and teamwork spirit.
The holding of the sports meeting is an important measure for the industrial union to implement the “Outline of the National Fitness Plan” and promote the integrated development of mass sports and competitive sports. It is also a concrete practice for the industrial union to actively respond to the call of the times, meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of industrial workers of all ethnic groups, deepen the reform of the construction of the industrial workers’ team, and enhance the leadership, organization, and service capabilities of the trade union.
