The Riyadh Traffic Directorate has implemented strict penalties for drivers found operating vehicles with hidden or obscure number plates. Violators will face fines of up to 2,000 Riyals as per Saudi law. This measure comes as a response to the increasing cases of vehicles attempting to evade identification and enforcement.

Fine Imposed for Defaced Number Plates

In addition to hidden or obscured number plates, the Riyadh Traffic Directorate has set out clear consequences for drivers with defaced number plates. Those found guilty of this offense will be subject to fines ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 Syrian. It is essential for all drivers to ensure their number plates are clearly legible, therefore complying with traffic regulations and facilitating easier identification.

The Riyadh Traffic Directorate is also urging motorists to replace their amber number plates to enhance visibility and enforce systematic control measures effectively.
