Road tax exemption for school buses; More time for private buses to pay taxes

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has announced more concessions ahead of the re-opening of schools. One year road tax exemption for school vehicles. Minister Antony Raju also said that the government has decided to extend the tax on private buses and tempo travelers till December.

The Minister of Education and Transport yesterday approved the protocol prepared by the Department of Motor Vehicles regarding the travel arrangements to be made for the students when the school reopens on November 1. The rate will be decided by the concerned school authorities and KSRTC. The existing concession for students on KSRTC buses will remain the same. Concession rates on private buses will be decided soon.
