Roadwork Alert: Traffic Grinds to a Halt in Affected Areas

Before the weekend, more traffic is expected in city centers and on the approaches to cities, as well as at border crossings. In places where work is being done, traffic is slow, and driving in those places requires more attention and respect for the traffic signals that have been temporarily installed.

Due to the work to renew crossing devices on the Reljevo viaduct, on the section of the Sarajevo North-Butila highway, vehicles are traveling in one traffic lane in the direction of travel. On the Podlugovi-Visoko section, due to the work on installing the fenders on the work site, the overtaking lane is in operation, and the speed is limited to 60 km/h.

On the main road Matuzići-Doboj (at the entrance to Doboj), due to the current work, the traffic is slow, with vehicles passing alternately. Given that it is a very frequent part, long lines of vehicles are formed on the work site during the day in both directions, so drivers are asked for patience and understanding.

Rehabilitation work is also current on the main roads: Bosanska Krupa-Bosanska Otoka, Kaonik-Gromiljak, Livno-Kamensko (Podgradina), Gračanica-Doboj, Kladanj-Živinice, Prozor/Rama-Jablanica, Foča-Ustikolina-Konic and Meča- Ustikolina – Visegrad.

On the main road Rogatica-Ustiprača, due to damage to the bridge, vehicles up to 30 tons travel in one lane, while traffic for vehicles over 30 tons is stopped.

At border crossings, passenger vehicles do not wait more than 30 minutes.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of the maximum weight allowed at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 t are diverted to Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use GP Šepak, IC BiHAMK announced.
