Latvian Rock Icon “Skudrupūžnis” Remembered in Star-Studded Tribute Concert

Cēsis, Latvia – Get ready to rock! A star-studded concert celebrating the life and music of Latvian rock legend Aleksandrs Sircovs, better known as “Skudrupūžnis,” is set to electrify Cēsis.

The event, a tribute to Sircovs’ enduring legacy, will feature an electrifying lineup of Latvian musical talent. Fans can expect to hear both classic rock anthems and songs from beyond the genre that Sircovs touched with his unique artistry.

Headlining the concert is “Keksi,” the rock band Sircovs founded. Adding a special touch, his wife, Ieva Sircova, will take the stage to play the bass guitar. Other notable acts include “Big Al & the Jokers,” fronted by the charismatic Lithuanian vocalist Aļģirdas Šuminskas, the energetic “Vectēva Papirosi,” the bluesy “Eddie dove band,” and solo performances by Dāvis matskins, Aija Andrejeva – Aišpure, and Jānis “BUX” Bukovskis from “Latvian Blues band.”

Adding to the excitement, renowned guitarist and former “Keksi” frontman Kaspars Zemītis will perform in a surprising rock-and-roll style.

The concert will be divided into two parts, ensuring a night filled with musical memories. Keeping the energy high throughout the evening will be longtime “Skudrupūžņa” show host Andris Freidenfelds.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards creating a memorial site for Sircovs in Cēsis’ Meža Cemetery.

Tickets are available at “biļešu paradīze” outlets.

Excitement is building for the tribute concert, with many Latvians eager to celebrate the life and music of “Skudrupūžnis.”

“Did you hear about that amazing concert happening in Cēsis to honor Skudrupūžnis?” Edgar asked his friend Liga.

“I did! It sounds amazing,” Liga replied. “I’ve always loved his music, especially Keksi. He left such a mark on Latvian rock.”

“Absolutely!” Edgar agreed. “And this tribute concert is bringing together so many amazing musicians. Keksi will be ther, of course, and his wife ieva is even going to play bass, which is pretty special.”

Liga was impressed. “Wow, that’s heartwarming. It’s so nice that Ieva is involved. What else can we expect?”

“The lineup is seriously stacked!” Edgar exclaimed.”Big Al & the Jokers are coming, and that Lithuanian vocalist, Aļģirdas Šuminskas, is always electrifying. Plus, Vectēva Papirosi, Eddie dove band, and solo sets from some big names like Dāvis Matskins and Aija Andrejeva!”

“Are you going to go?” Liga asked.

“Oh, absolutely!” Edgar said. “There’s also a surprise performance I’m really looking forward to. Kaspars Zemītis, the former Keksi frontman, will be playing in a rock-and-roll style.”

“This concert sounds like a must-see event,” Liga said. “What’s the best way to get tickets?”

“You can find them at ‘biļešu paradīze’ outlets,” Edgar explained. “And the best part is that all the proceeds go towards creating a memorial site for Sircovs in Cēsis.”

“That’s a splendid cause,” Liga said. “I’m definitely getting my tickets.”
