ROCKET STRIKE ROCKS THE MIDDLE EAST: Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s Powerful Leader, Falls in Shocking Attack
Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah Killed in Israeli Attack
Israeli Military Reports Death of Hassan Nasrallah, Head of Hezbollah
Attack on Hezbollah Headquarters in Beirut
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an attack on Friday in a Beirut suburb, the terrorist organization confirmed on Saturday. The Israeli military stated, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.” Ali Karaki, Hezbollah’s commander for the south of the country, was also killed in the attack.
Significant Blow to Hezbollah
The death of Nasrallah, who led the movement for 30 years, is Israel’s worst blow to Hezbollah for decades. The consequences of this event for the conflict with Israel, the Middle East region, and Lebanon itself are currently uncertain.
Attack on Residential Buildings
According to the Israeli military, the attack targeted Hezbollah’s headquarters, located under residential buildings in the suburb of Haret Hreik near the airport. The attack resulted in thick clouds of smoke and large piles of rubble. The Ministry of Health reported at least six people killed and 91 injured.
Nasrallah’s Leadership and Legacy
Nasrallah had been at the head of the Shiite terrorist militia since 1992. He was one of Israel’s most dangerous opponents and coordinated closely with Iran and its Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hezbollah’s main supporter. Under his leadership, Nasrallah transformed Hezbollah into a more powerful and dangerous organization.
Israeli Military Response
During his 32 years at the helm of Hezbollah, Nasrallah was responsible “for the murder of numerous Israeli civilians and soldiers,” the Israeli army stated. The military will continue to harm “anyone who promotes and engages in terrorism against citizens of the State of Israel.”
