Rohit Sharma Expresses Disappointment in Removal from Mumbai Indians Captaincy in Viral Video

Last day, a video was released between Kolkata Knight Riders assistant coach Abhishek Nair and Mumbai Indians star Rohit Sharma. Kolkata itself posted the footage through their social media accounts. The video went viral and fans translated the conversation. The conversation was such that Rohit expressed his disappointment at being removed from the captaincy. With this, Kolkata withdrew the video.

“Everything changes. Now it’s in their hands. It’s still in my house. I built this temple. I don’t consider it anymore, it’s my last,” Rohit told Abhishek, who is also a former -Mumbai star.

Mumbai Indians are ninth in the points table as the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 17 comes to an end in its group stage. Mumbai were also the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.

Before the season, the Mumbai management appointed Hardik Pandya as captain, replacing Rohit, who led the team to five titles. This led to criticism not only from fans but also from cricket experts. Hardik, who came into the field to lead Mumbai, was welcomed in the form of cheers not only in his own ground but also by the opposing camps.

Reports surfaced recently that Mumbai’s senior players were unhappy with Hardik’s captaincy. Hardik criticized Tilak Verma after the loss against Delhi Capitals. Tilak was one of the few players who shone in Mumbai’s batting line-up against Delhi. Hardik’s criticism was that Tilak was not ready to attack and play when Axar Patel bowled.
