Adding to the intrigue,23-year-old ⁤Ryusei Sasaki,recovering from‍ a‍ right shoulder impingement that ⁤sidelined⁢ him since May,is being considered for⁢ a postseason roster spot. His path back ⁢from injury has led him to an unfamiliar role.

With no room for Sasaki in ⁢the Dodgers’ six-man starting rotation, a‍ move to the bullpen became ⁣the only viable option for⁢ him⁤ to finish his rookie year in the Major Leagues. He first filled this role during his rehab ⁤assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma city.
