Critic Reviews

A reviewer from The Hollywood Reporter praised the film, saying, “In addition to the gritty, essential action scenes, ‘Transformers: Origins’ delivers plenty of dialogue and visually witty jokes, as well as a surprising amount of heartfelt emotion. It’s a reinvigorated film series.”

Variety’s film critic noted, “‘Transformers: Origins’ still offers the fun and excitement of Hasbro’s Transformers robot toys, while also offering some subtle differences and the complex ways in which these famous characters are presented in one of the most sophisticated cinematic portrayals ever produced.”

A “Collider” film critic said, “It’s a fun, action-packed movie with surprisingly strong emotional resonance that adds layers of depth to the existing Transformers storyline, and the story itself is worth watching.”

A “Transformers: Origins” film critic stated, “Transformers: Origins far exceeded expectations. Although the art style can be off-putting at times, the story concept is interesting and allows the film to complement the story of the series. It’s pretty good.”

ScreenRant’s reviewer said, “From the character dynamics to the thrilling action and gorgeous animation, there’s a lot to love. This original story is compelling.”

“Transformers: Origins” will be released in the US on September 20.
