Rumors Suggest iPhone 15 Series Could Introduce Faster Charging Speeds

Apple has been steadily increasing the charging speed of their iPhones over the years, although they haven’t provided exact numbers. The latest model, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, supports a fast 30W charging speed. Excitingly, recent reports suggest that the upcoming iPhone 15 Series will feature even faster charging speeds, both through wired connections and MagSafe.

An informant named RGcloudS, who frequently shares insider tips, addressed questions about the iPhone 15’s charging system on Twitter. They revealed that the wired charging speed has been increased to 40W, up from the original 30W. Additionally, the MagSafe charging speed has been enhanced to 20W, compared to the original 15W.

It’s important to note that these changes may actually be implemented in the iPhone 16, as the informant wasn’t certain if they would be present in the iPhone 15. The iPhone 15 has been rumored to feature a new stacked battery design and a USB-C connection port, which adds to the anticipation surrounding its charging capabilities.

Increasing the charging speed is a welcome improvement, especially considering reports that all four models of the iPhone 15 will have larger battery capacities. However, it remains to be seen whether these reported changes will come to fruition and benefit users in the near future. Apple’s dedication to enhancing charging speed is undoubtedly a positive step, as it aims to minimize the waiting time for users.

Although Apple has not promoted the charging speed of the iPhone in numbers, but every year it has been increasing the speed. For example, the iPhone 14 Pro Max can support a fast 30W. Recently, it was reported that the iPhone 15 Series could support increased charging speeds, both wired and MagSafe!

by tipster @RGcloudS came out to answer comments asked about the iPhone 15’s fast charging system, will it be faster? That the wired charging speed has increased to 40W (from the original 30W) and that the MagSafe is faster to 20W (from the original 15W) at all!

This information is a continuation of reports that the iPhone 15 will change to use a new stacked battery (Stacked Battery) and a USB-C connection port.

However, the tipper has yet to confirm if this speed will be used on the iPhone 15 at all or if it can actually be used on the iPhone 16. In our opinion, Apple’s increase in charging speed should be good because from previous reports, all 4 iPhone 15 models have increased battery capacity. If I keep charging as before I’m afraid it will make users wait a bit longer.
