Russia denies that Ukraine and Russia have tortured Ukraine prisoners of war, Russia Torture Prisoners UN Says

Geneva: The Office of the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner has said that both countries brutally tortured prisoners during the Ukraine-Russia war. The United Nations reveals that prisoners were given electric shocks and forced to strip.

The findings came from interviews conducted by the United Nations monitoring team with more than 100 prisoners from both countries. Interviews were conducted with Ukrainian prisoners after their release after Russia refused permission.

Ukraine had earlier announced that it would investigate whether there was any fault in the way prisoners of war were treated and that it would take action if there was any breach of the law. Meanwhile, Russia has denied reports that the prisoners were tortured.
