Russia launched airstrikes on energy-related facilities and front-line villages in various parts of Ukraine a day before World War II Victory Day.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy on the 8th local time, the Russian military has carried out large-scale bombing targeting power generation and transmission facilities in six regions, including Zaporizhia and Lviv, since the night before.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also claimed that “Russian forces have taken control of two additional front-line villages – Kislivka in Kharkiv Oblast and Novokalinove in Donetsk.”

Last year, Russia also stepped up its offensive on battlefields such as Bahmut before Victory Day.
