Russia-Ukraine War News: Kyiv: Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Selensky has said on Monday that NATO membership should not be sought in exchange for a ceasefire, withdrawal of Russian troops and security in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military said it had blocked an attempt by Russian forces to enter Kiev after heavy fighting.

US President Joe Biden has said that India seems a little unsure of its support for sanctions against Russia. Biden’s response was to refer to India’s relations between Russia and the West in the Ukraine crisis. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky said talks on ending the war would not be possible without a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, the fighting intensified in Mariopol, where Russia refused to allow Ukrainian troops to surrender by force. There were bombings in Mariopol and other Ukrainian cities. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of an art school building in Azov City, which housed 400 people.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksi Resnikov said yesterday that Russia was carrying out state terrorism in Ukraine and would attack other countries. He said Russia had killed 150 children in Ukraine and destroyed more than 400 schools, kindergartens and more than 100 hospitals. He was speaking to British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace during a visit to London.
