Russian army hits Ukrainian energy facilities with missiles, power cuts everywhere

Ukrainian authorities said that Russia bombed Ukraine’s energy facilities on the 22nd.

This led to power cuts across Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia had been attacking extensively and promised that the Ukrainian army would further strengthen its ability to shoot down Russian missiles with the help of partners.

With the Russian invasion of Ukraine in its ninth month and winter approaching, fears are growing that Russian attacks on power plants in Ukraine will run out of electricity and energy needed to survive the winter.

Meanwhile, in Kherson Province, where Russia has declared annexation, Russian occupation authorities have ordered residents to evacuate.

The evacuation order came as the Ukrainian army continued to advance in the southern region and repeated attacks to retake Kherson Province.

Thousands of civilians have fled the Kherson region after the evacuation order was issued.

According to Ukrainian authorities, Ukrainian forces continue to expand southwards and have retaken at least two southern villages from which the Russians retreated and left.
