It has been reported that Ukrainian forces have recovered about 20% of the territories they had lost in Severodonetsk, Donbass, eastern Ukraine, when they drove out Russians.

Severodonetsk is a key point through which Ukrainian supply routes pass in Donbas, which includes Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast.

According to British media The Guardian and Reuters on the 3rd (local time), Luhansk Governor Serhi Haidai said on national TV that day, “Russian forces occupied about 70%, but we drove them out about 20%.”

“The Russians bombarded the Ukrainian camp for several hours, but the Ukrainian forces did not do any damage and drove the Russians away,” he said. This is progressing step by step,” he added.

“As soon as we have enough Western long-range weapons, we will push the Russian artillery out of our camp,” Haidai said.

The Ukrainian military is said to be currently training in Europe to operate advanced missile systems that the United States and Britain have agreed to support.
