A long line in front of Hanwha’s home stadium, Daejeon Eagles Park, starts this morning.

This is to see Ryu Hyun-jin, who returned to the KBO League after 12 years, play in an exhibition game.

“Ryu Hyun-jin is on the mound and it’s an exhibition game, but I wanted to see him throw for the first time in a long time, so I kept searching the weather in real time and thought, ‘ This is good enough. ‘ So I came …”

“We leave Jeonju at 7 and have been waiting since 8:30. Ryu Hyun-jin and KIA are also here to cheer.”

Ryu Hyun-jin took the mound at Daejeon Stadium for the first time in 11 years and 5 months since the Nexen game in October 2012.

The first batter, KIA Park Chan-ho, caught with a ground ball to shortstop, but allowed Lee Woo-sung to hit a double that went to the right field fence, then got a timely hit by Kim Do-young and gave up one run.

However, Ryu Hyun-jin ended the inning by hitting the main batting line of Na Seong-beom and Socrates with a double.

In the bottom of the first inning, Hanwha’s batting line exploded, including the hit of Noh Si-hwan, scoring a whopping nine runs.

Ryu Hyun-jin, whose shoulders became lighter, cooked the KIA batting line based on perfect ball control.

Although it was an exhibition game played in inclement weather, the excitement in the stands was just as hot as in the regular season.

He was hit in the leg by a batted ball in the second inning and gave up a hit in the field, but finished the inning by throwing out the next batter, and the third inning ended with three outs.

A fielder’s error put a runner out in the 4th inning, but the pitching ended with no extra runs due to a strikeout and a ground ball.

Ryu Hyun-jin, who pitched 4 innings, allowed 3 hits, no walks, 3 strikeouts, and 1 run, and his top speed was 148 km.

“I think it’s okay because the speed and things like that came out better than expected, and other than a little bit of bad control on my changeup, I think it’s overall okay….”

‘National team ace’ Dong-ju Moon also pitched two scoreless innings, giving Hanwha a 9-1 victory over the fans who had been ‘running open’ since the morning.
