Salman bin Sultan meets with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries – Saudi News

Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Medina Region and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries, met in his office with the Secretary-General of the Complex, Dr. Fahd bin Mubarak Al-Wahbi, and the delegation accompanying him.

During the meeting, the annual report reviewed the achievements of the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries for the year 2023 AD, and Prince Salman bin Sultan watched a visual presentation of the most prominent technical projects to be completed during the current year 2024 AD, in addition to the most prominent electronic portals that the complex intends to launch that contribute to achieving the vision. And the message of the council.

The Emir of the Medina region noted the interest given by the Kingdom’s government, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, and its care for the Arab and Islamic cultural heritage within the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, pointing out that the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries is a pioneering cultural interface that has enjoyed a qualitative shift to be an incubator for the valuable intellectual heritage. Which is provided to beneficiaries in a way that facilitates for them the means of research and knowledge, enhances the preservation of endowment libraries, serves them, and makes them available to researchers and the public, within the framework of the care and concern that the state gives to scientific, cultural, and intellectual institutions in the Kingdom.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the complex expressed his great thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Emir of the Medina region, for his interest and support for the complex’s projects, which are in line with the amount of care given by the wise leadership to all government sectors in order to improve the services provided to the residents of the region and its esteemed visitors.

The services of the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries were recently inaugurated in the new headquarters, to which the complex moved temporarily until the completion of the establishment of its permanent headquarters as part of the expansion and development project of Quba Mosque and the surrounding area. The complex includes more than 40 endowment libraries, including more than 100. One thousand books, in addition to the rare book library, which includes more than 30,000 rare books, more than 25,000 original manuscripts, and more than 1,850 rare Qur’ans, in addition to precious collectibles. It is also concerned with printing studies and research in its various scientific fields and publishing them so that they are in the hands of readers and intellectuals.
