Paris: Booker-winning novelist Salman Rushdie has suggested that artificial intelligence (AI) could pose a challenge to writers of literary genres like thrillers and science fiction, where originality is less important. AI also said that it will not be a challenge for those who write serious novels because there is a lack of originality and humor in the writings.

Rushdie’s comments were made in an article published in the French literary publication La Nouvelle Revue Française (NRF).
