Samba Spirit Unstoppable: Ananya Girls Shine at Keelung Eagle Carnival
Keelung Ocean Eagle Carnival: A Vibrant Celebration Despite the Rain
The Keelung Ocean Eagle Carnival took place on a rainy afternoon, but the enthusiasm of the participants and spectators was not dampened. The event featured 50 different performances, including samba girls, puppet shows, and costume parades.
Traffic was restricted from 2 p.m., and the streets of Keelung city were closed for the Eagle Carnival Parade. Despite the heavy rain, the event was lively, with 50 teams from different performance groups participating.
A National Event with International Participation
According to Xie Guoliang, the Ocean Eagle Carnival has expanded over the years, moving from an urban festival to a national event on the Taiwan Tourism Biennial Calendar of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. This year, the event invited performance groups from Japan to participate, making it an international celebration.
In addition to the performances, the event also featured charity groups, including blind people, spinal cord injury, and Aboriginal and New Resident groups, showcasing the warmth and love of Keelung Port and Bay City.
Exciting Stage Performances and Drone Displays
Tonight, multiple teams will bring exciting stage performances, as well as drone and fireworks displays in the “Keelung Ocean Eagle Carnival” and “100th Anniversary of Keelung”. 500 drones will be decorated with limited edition 3D patterns to adorn the night sky with computer beam lights and special fireworks.
