MILAN, Italy – Samsung Electronics is deepening its involvement with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, outlining plans to integrate mobile innovation and Galaxy AI across the Games-time experience. The company’s initiatives aim to connect athletes, fans, and communities, bridging geographical gaps inherent in the multi-venue event.
Opening Ceremony Innovation
A key component of Samsung’s plan involves integrating Galaxy S25 Ultra devices into the live broadcast production of the Opening Ceremony on . These smartphones will work alongside established broadcast cameras, capturing dynamic perspectives from locations such as jibs above the field and athlete entrance tunnels. This integration, enabled by the devices’ portability, camera quality, and 5G connectivity, is designed to expand coverage without disrupting existing broadcast workflows. Samsung is collaborating closely with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS) to ensure seamless integration.
Yiannis Exarchos, CEO of OBS, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating that Samsung’s technology will help deliver “dynamic perspectives that complement our core broadcast coverage,” and help viewers “feel closer to the energy and emotion of this historic moment.”
Supporting Games Operations and Volunteers
Beyond the Opening Ceremony, Samsung’s technology will support various operational aspects of the Games. A select group of volunteers will be equipped with Galaxy devices featuring Interpreter, powered by Galaxy AI, to facilitate communication between athletes, officials, and visitors. This feature processes translations directly on the device, ensuring fast and reliable communication across the diverse environments of Milano Cortina 2026. Samsung Account login may be required to use certain AI features, and the accuracy of results is not guaranteed.

Fan Experience and Competition Support
Samsung will also provide Galaxy Charging Stations at stadiums across host cities to help spectators keep their devices powered throughout the Games. Samsung monitors will be deployed across Short-Track Speed Skating disciplines, providing high-quality displays to support operational needs and ensure fair play.
Samsung House: A Hub for Connection
Samsung House, located in Milan’s Palazzo Serbelloni, will serve as a central hub for connection and storytelling during the Games. Officially opening on , it will host a curated program including National Olympic Committee nights, live competition viewings, and displays of the Victory Profile portrait series. The space aims to foster interaction between athletes, partners, and media. Michelin-starred Italian chef Enrico Bartolini will contribute hospitality elements, adding a local cultural touch.
Samsung House will operate through during the Olympic Winter Games and will reopen from to during the Paralympic Winter Games. Access will be invitation-only, creating a dedicated space for meaningful connections.
