Samsung Electronics, together with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, is promoting the establishment of a ‘supplementary type standard workplace for the disabled’ to create jobs for the disabled.

Samsung Electronics and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled held a ceremony to establish a ‘supplementary type standard workplace for the disabled’ at the DSR Tower at Samsung Electronics’ Hwaseong Campus on the 23rd, with Cho Hyang-hyeon, chairman of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled the Disabled, and Choi Wan-woo, vice president of the human resources team and director of social contribution in the DS division of Samsung Electronics who were present.

The ‘supplementary type standard workplace for the disabled’ established by Samsung Electronics will start in the first half of 2023 as a confectionery manufacturing business. Products produced here are supplied to employees of Samsung Electronics’ domestic business sites.

Samsung Electronics plans to continue to find jobs suitable for the severely disabled, expand quality jobs, and expand the business area of ​​’supplementary type standard workplaces for the disabled’.

In cooperation with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, Samsung Electronics plans to recruit people with severe disabilities, and conduct a 2-3 month job adjustment training course to support self-reliance as members of society.
