Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has an added incentive this season: an Adam Sandler movie role. The wager,made after Henry appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show,” stipulates that if Henry rushes for over 2,000 yards,he’ll appear in a Sandler film.
The five-time Pro Bowl player is one of only nine NFL players to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season, achieving the feat in 2020. Surpassing that mark again in 2025 would make him the first to do it twice and land him a cameo wiht his favorite actor.
Sandler sealed the deal with a video message to Henry. “Two thousand yards-plus this year not only gets you in a movie, but we’ll have a nice dinner together and talk about Dan Patrick’s facial hair and how hard it is for him to grow it,” Sandler said.

The conversation began when Henry, discussing his two-year, $30 million extension with the Ravens, expressed his admiration for Sandler to Patrick. Patrick then offered to get Henry a role if he reached the 2,000-yard milestone.
