Sanju gave the ball to Kuldeep at the death over; A spinner who bowled a hat-trick; Win against Newydd

Chennai: Hat-trick for left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav in India A’s warm-up match against New Zealand A. The player took four wickets with a hat-trick. With this, India A managed to secure a win by 4 wickets in the second match.

Kuldeep took 4 wickets conceding 51 runs in 10 overs. Kuldeep Yadav’s hat-trick helped India A bowl out New Zealand A for 219 runs. India crossed the target in 34 overs.

In the 47th over of New Zealand A’s innings, Kuldeep van Beek, Joe Walker and Duffy returned. Sanju Samson used Kuldeep Yadav here in the death overs. In the IPL, the ball was also given to Sanju Chahal in the death overs. Kuldeep has two ODI hat-tricks to his name. Kuldeep took three consecutive wickets against Australia at Eden Gardens in 2017 and West Indies at Visakhapatnam in 2019.

Prithvi Shah scored a half century for India chasing 220 runs. Shah’s innings is 11 fours and three sixes from 48 balls. Rituraj Gaikwad scored 30 runs and Rajat scored 20 runs. India A captain Sanju Samson scored 37 runs off 35 balls with four fours and two sixes. Kuldeep Yadav scored 25 runs off 24 balls.
