Spanish adventurer Santiago Sanchez is walking. This year’s World Cup in Qatar. The journey began on foot from Spain to Qatar.
The trip to Santiago began after a meeting with Qatari Ambassador to Spain Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Hammar. The Qatari embassy in Spain shared pictures of Al Hammar wishing Santiago good luck on Twitter.

The journey is expected to take about 11 months. The distance covered is 6800 km. The journey to Santiago began on Saturday from the Matipanonera Stadium in San Sebastian de los Reyes in Madrid. The World Cup runs from November 21 to December 18.
