Kochi: The Kerala team for the Santosh Trophy football tournament has been announced. Midfielder Jijo Joseph is the captain. The 22-member squad was announced by coach Bino George and his team.
The Under-21 team members have also secured a place in the team this time. This time the Kerala Football Association has given the opportunity to 13 new players to play in the Santosh Trophy.
Kerala retained the coaching staff last time. In addition to Bino George, TG Purushothaman will be the assistant coach and Saji Joy will be the goalkeeper’s coach.
Lakshadweep, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are in the group along with Kerala. The matches will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kaloor.
