Kochi ∙ The Kerala team for the Santosh Trophy National Senior Football Championship has been announced. A squad of 22 members has been announced with 16 new faces. Kannur native and goalkeeper V. Mithun is the captain. Group 2, which includes the defending champions Kerala, will be played in Kozhikode from 26 to 28. Kerala’s first match is against Rajasthan.
Mithun responded that he hoped to perform well and qualify for the quarter finals. He said that although there are new faces in the team, all of them are experienced and a united team has been chosen.
