The Eagles gained momentum early by recovering a fumble and scoring two field goals. After trailing by one point, they regained the lead with a touchdown reception by A.J. Brown to close the first half at 13-7. The Rams’ scoring in the first half came from Kyren Williams‘ touchdown run.
Barkley’s Impressive Performance
Barkley entered the MVP conversation with his dominant performance. This game marked his seventh 100-yard game this season and he achieved a total of 302 yards from scrimmage. His 70-yard rushing touchdown early in the second half gave the Eagles a decisive lead, and a later 72-yard touchdown run sealed the game.
His contributions to the Eagles’ success are significant, comparable to the quarterbacks who have historically been favored for MVP. The last non-quarterback to win was Adrian Peterson in 2012. Barkley deserves consideration to end that streak. — Brooks Kubena, Eagles beat writer

Rams Struggle with Mistakes
The Rams faced difficulties due to their errors. They turned the ball over on their first possession and had a dismal performance in the second quarter, gaining just minus-6 yards on four drives. Allowing a 70-yard touchdown from Barkley on the first play of the third quarter put them further behind.
The Eagles dominated offensively, gaining 407 yards with five minutes left in the game. Barkley contributed immensely, achieving 302 total yards (255 rushing, 47 receiving) and scoring on a 72-yard run. Eagles’ Defense Excels
The Eagles’ defense has performed well during their seven-game winning streak. They held the Rams to negative-six yards on four possessions leading into halftime and sacked Matthew Stafford five times. They forced four fumbles and recovered one.

Eagles Overcome Errors

Pass Rush Disturbs Stafford
The Rams struggled to handle the Eagles’ pass rush. Even with four linemen, the pressure forced Stafford into mistakes. The Rams found it difficult to run effectively, and their offense struggled to sustain drives against Fangio’s defense.
