Sarah Ferguson Claims Royal Abandonment and Fears UK Return

Sarah Ferguson has reportedly been living in fear and avoiding a return to the United Kingdom following her association with Jeffrey Epstein, according to sources close to the former Duchess of York. The Duchess, who was stripped of her honorary Freedom of the City of York over her links to the convicted sex offender, has not been contacted by any member of the Royal Family since the fallout began, a friend told The Mirror.

She has been staying in a £2,000-a-night chalet in the Austrian Alps, where she was photographed by The Sun newspaper after months of keeping a low profile. Her last public appearance in the UK was seven months prior to being spotted outside the ski chalet, as she sought to avoid media scrutiny amid renewed attention on her past correspondence with Epstein.

Emails exchanged between Ferguson and Epstein, some sent after his initial conviction for child sex offences, reportedly referred to him as a “legend” and like a “brother.” While It’s believed she now regrets the friendship, the resurfacing of these communications has led to widespread backlash and her increasing isolation from royal circles.

A source close to the Yorks said Ferguson feels abandoned by the institution she once belonged to through marriage to Prince Andrew, Duke of York. “Sarah is living in fear right now. She’s not immune to everything that is happening. She realises how serious everything is, and she is not coping with it,” the friend stated. “She is definitely worried about returning home to the UK and is relying on the kindness of friends to help her through the situation. But she knows she can’t keep moving around forever.”
