SAS Biya Enhances AI Capabilities with Intelligent Decisioning
Updated June 10, 2025
SAS Biya has augmented its artificial intelligence capabilities with the addition of ‘Intelligent Decisioning,’ a function emphasizing agent AI and data-oriented technology. This builds upon the generic AI functions already integrated into SAS Biya as last year, which have strengthened large language model analysis and model-based support.
The new product combines business rules with AI and machine learning-based analysis. It is designed to automate and systematically manage large-scale decision-making processes.
Di park Ramanathan, vice president of SAS Global Technology Practice, explained that agent AI automates decision-making in real-world business environments. The system aims for a spectrum approach, Ramanathan said.
During a presentation, a loan screening system utilized SAS Biya to automatically analyze the reasons behind decisions related to VIP customers. The system visualized model information and any biased evaluation results used in the judgment.
“It is the only SAS to provide a solution that can track the entire decision-making process,” ramanathan said.
Ramanathan also addressed concerns about AI hallucinations, noting that the system verifies the basis for decisions using various data sources. This verification process can also be used for regulatory compliance.
What’s next
SAS plans to continue expanding the capabilities of Intelligent Decisioning, focusing on further automation and enhanced transparency in AI-driven decision-making processes.
