Satisfactory Reaches New Heights with Official Version 1.0 Update

The 3D factory construction simulation game Satisfactory, developed by Coffee Stain Studios, has officially launched its version 1.0 update on September 10. This update has brought a surge in player engagement, with the game reaching its highest concurrent player count on Steam.

Update 1.0 Features and Improvements

The version 1.0 update introduces a range of new features and improvements, including a new storyline, system adjustments, and the addition of a space elevator. The “Assembly Project” mission structure has been expanded to include a fifth stage, unlocking new buildings, crafting recipes, and technology milestones.

Players can now access new buildings, such as the “Conversion Factory,” which enables resource conversion, and the “Quantum Encoder,” which produces complex components. Other additions include faster conveyor belts, Mk.6 elevators, and a new nuclear energy resource called “Ficsonium.”

Record-Breaking Player Engagement

Following the update, Satisfactory has broken its previous record of 34K online peaks on Steam in 2021. According to SteamDB, the game reached 85,000 concurrent players online just hours before the update, with a record high of 100,000 concurrent players online. This is the highest figure the game has achieved on Steam since its release.

Long-Term Popularity and Sales

Satisfactory’s consistent content updates have contributed to its enduring popularity. Despite initially launching exclusively on the Epic Games platform in 2019 and later on Steam in 2020, the game has maintained a strong player community on Steam. As of 2024, the game has reached cross-platform sales of 5.5 million units.

Pricing and Discounts
