Saudi Covid Report: 841 more Kovids in Saudi Arabia; A death today

Riyadh: Another death due to Kovid has been reported in Saudi Arabia. In 24 hours, 841 people were newly diagnosed with the new covid virus. Of the current patients, 1,922 have recovered (Covid Recoveries), according to the Ministry of Health. The total number of covid cases reported in the country so far is 7,41,237. The total number of cases rose to 7,15,514. The total death toll rose to 8,987.

Of the patients, 16,736 are undergoing treatment. Of these, 764 are in critical condition. The critically ill are in the intensive care unit of various hospitals across the country. The condition of the rest is satisfactory. The country’s covid liberation rate was 96.52 percent and the death rate was 1.21 percent. 79,711 RT-PCR tests were performed within 24 hours.

Riyadh – 229, Jeddah – 62, Dammam – 60, Hufuf – 31, Jizan – 26, Madinah – 24, and Mecca – 22 new Kovid cases were reported in different parts of the country. The country has so far vaccinated 6,03,73,391 doses of the vaccine. Of these, 2,58,80,999 were first dose, 2,40,88,245 were second dose and 1,04,04,147 were booster dose.

Allied forces attacked Houthi bases in retaliation for the attack on Jeezan Airport in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh: Arab coalition forces have launched heavy airstrikes on Houthi Rebels’ military bases in Yemen following a drone strike on King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport, Jizan. In view of the threat, the Houthi military targets in Al-Bayda governorate were destroyed by airstrikes.

Coalition sources said that airstrikes would continue to target the Houthis to protect civilians. Sixteen civilians were injured in a Houthi drone strike on Jizan Airport on Monday. The coalition initially said four people were injured. The coalition later said 16 people from different countries were injured. The condition of the three injured passengers is critical.

The Arab League has accused the Houthis of carrying out cross-border attacks from Sana’a airport in Yemen. Strong measures will be taken to protect the civilian population within the framework of international law. Jizan is preparing for a massive military operation in the wake of the attack. The Houthis will suffer the consequences of attacks targeting civilians. Coalition sources said the Houthis could only understand the language of force and military action.
