Saudi Education Minister Thanks Leadership for Charitable Donation via Ehsan Platform

Saudi Leadership Contributes SAR 70 Million to National Charity Campaign

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have jointly donated SAR 70 million to the sixth National Campaign for Charitable Work, facilitated through the Ehsan platform. The donation, announced on February 21, 2026, underscores the leadership’s ongoing commitment to charitable initiatives within the Kingdom.

King Salman contributed SAR 40 million, while Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman donated SAR 30 million, according to reports. This latest act of generosity extends a pattern of support for the national campaign via Ehsan since its launch in 2021.

The Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, expressed his gratitude to the King and the Crown Prince for their generous contribution. He stated that the donation exemplifies the leadership’s consistent dedication to charitable endeavors and the promotion of a culture of giving and solidarity within Saudi Arabia.

Al-Benyan emphasized that the initiative embodies the Kingdom’s longstanding values of compassion and mutual support, principles upon which the nation was founded. He further highlighted the national charitable campaigns as a “model advanced in governing humanitarian work,” fostering collaboration between various sectors to achieve sustainable development goals and ensure the efficient and transparent distribution of aid to those in need.

The Ehsan platform has gained recognition for its high standards of transparency and governance in managing donations through advanced digital systems. This facilitates seamless giving, particularly during the month of Ramadan, when charitable activity traditionally increases.

Ehsan will continue to accept donations from individuals and organizations across the public, private and non-profit sectors throughout Ramadan. Contributions can be made through the platform’s website (ehsan.sa), mobile application, a unified number (8001247000), and designated bank accounts.

Minister Al-Benyan also noted that the education sector draws inspiration from these charitable initiatives, instilling values of social responsibility and volunteerism in students. He stressed the importance of fostering community engagement and contributing to the nation’s development, and unity.

Al-Benyan concluded by praying for the continued well-being and prosperity of the Kingdom under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and for their continued support of charitable and humanitarian efforts.

The launch of the sixth National Charity Campaign was previously approved by King Salman, demonstrating a sustained commitment to supporting those in need within the Kingdom. The Ehsan platform serves as the central hub for these efforts, streamlining the donation process and ensuring accountability.

Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, Chairman of the Ehsan Supervisory Committee, also expressed his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed for their generous donations, acknowledging their ongoing support for charitable work in Saudi Arabia.
