Savannah Chrisley is preparing to guest-host on ABC’s “The View” next week, but not without a clear message for the show’s panelists: she hasn’t forgotten past criticisms leveled against her family.
Chrisley, whose parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, received full pardons from President Donald Trump in May 2025 after being convicted of bank and tax fraud, addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter) last week. Her upcoming appearance begins on .
“I’ll be co-hosting @TheView the week of Feb 16th! I believe in sitting at tables with people who disagree with you and refusing to shrink your values to make others comfortable. I stand on faith, family, and freedom,” Chrisley wrote. However, she quickly added a pointed reminder: “But let me be clear: I have not forgotten the public bashing of my family by some of these same voices. Grace does not require amnesia.”
The Chrisleys’ legal battles and subsequent pardon have been a source of contention, particularly among some of the hosts of “The View.” In a discussion on , Joy Behar questioned the fairness of the pardon, stating, “According to this administration, if you are a reality star with a lot of money and a tax cheat and you commit fraud, then that’s good, we’re gonna give you a pardon.”
Ana Navarro echoed that sentiment, suggesting a quid pro quo at play. “I sure as hell do [have a problem with it],” Navarro said. “I think one of the things we as Americans have to do is not normalize this and not get accustomed to this and not allow this to continue to happen, because this is not normal, this is not honest, this is not ethical. Basically there’s a huge ‘For Sale’ sign on the lawn of the White House, and if you are a supporter, if you are a donor, then you can buy pardons.”
Behar also reportedly referred to Todd and Julie Chrisley as “idiots” during a previous segment, according to reports.
Savannah Chrisley has been a vocal defender of her parents throughout their legal ordeal, and has publicly challenged accusations that her family’s pardon was influenced by outside factors. Her willingness to confront potentially uncomfortable conversations on “The View” is already generating buzz.
The upcoming guest-hosting stint comes as Alyssa Farah Griffin is on maternity leave. Chrisley is one of several individuals filling in during her absence. The dynamic between Chrisley and the established co-hosts – Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines – promises to be a compelling one, given the history of critical commentary directed at her family.
Tune in to “The View” at on on ABC to see how the conversation unfolds.
