[뉴스충청인/예산] The Yesan County Public Health Center in South Chungcheong Province operated a ‘Low-salt and low-sugar healthy cooking class for seniors’ to improve proper eating habits for 12 participants in the high blood pressure and diabetes exercise class program over a total of four times starting on October 21.
This cooking class received a great response from participants by promoting the importance of healthy eating habits and providing nutritional and dietary information for managing chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, as well as low-salt and low-sugar recipes that can be used at home.

A public health center official said, “We will continue to provide education to raise awareness of the importance of low-salt and low-sugar eating habits for seniors with chronic diseases.” He added, “By forming healthy eating habits that include eating less salty and less sweet foods, we will reduce the risk of severe chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.” “I hope it will help prevent fires,” he said.
