Many may remember that little boy who played the central role in Aamir Khan’s 2007 film ‘Taare Sameen Par’. Darsheel Safari, who was only nine years old when the film was released, has opened up about an interesting incident that happened that day. It is said that Darsheel went to see the screening of the film seven times and fell asleep three times in between.

‘Tare Sameen Par’ is a film that tells the story of an eight-year-old boy with a reading disorder who tries to help him. When the film was released, Darsheel became a star and received a lot of praise for his performance.

“I remember going to see the film seven times when it was released. “I fell asleep the last 3-4 times because I was a child then. I haven’t seen that movie since,” said Darsheel. The actor also says that he is generally not interested in watching emotional films. Darsheel says it’s because those around will cry.

Darsheel revisits the film for a recent podcast. Now Darsheel understands why ‘Taare Sameen Par’ was such a hit. “When I saw the film, I understood why people could relate so much. It was a different experience to see the film again after so many years. My eyes filled with tears when I saw the first frame. I thought I couldn’t see it, but I managed to see it. Now I know why that film was successful,” says Darsheel.

After the release of the film, Darsheel recalls inviting Aamir Khan to his home and spending time with his family members.
