Schenectady Brothers Plead Guilty to Drug Trafficking Conspiracy in Albany and Schenectady Counties

Schenectady residents Jalen Parker, 32, and Juwan Parker, 31, pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy charges involving methamphetamine and cocaine base distribution across Schenectady and Albany counties. United States District Judge Anne M. Nardacci accepted the pleas, which involve operating as part of a local drug trafficking organization.
The announcement of the guilty pleas was made by First Assistant U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone III, Federal Bureau of Investigation Albany Field Office Special Agent in Charge Craig L. Tremaroli, and Schenectady Police Department Chief Brian Whipple. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York, law enforcement recovered two firearms, 30 grams of fentanyl, and 300 grams of cocaine during the execution of a search warrant at the brothers’ Schenectady residence.
Admissions and Drug Quantities
Between July 2024 and January 2026, Jalen Parker acknowledged his role in trafficking upward of 200 grams of actual methamphetamine alongside greater than 325 grams of cocaine base. Juwan Parker confessed to transferring more than 47 grams of crack cocaine to another person on July 9, 2024, as well as providing 14 grams of 100% pure methamphetamine on May 27, 2025.
“Drug crime continues to plague our communities, and in this case, it appears to run in the family,” said First Assistant United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III.
Sentencing and Penalties
Sentencing for both defendants is scheduled for December 18, 2026. Jalen Parker faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 120 months and a maximum of life in prison. Juwan Parker faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 60 months and a maximum of 40 years in prison.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Schenectady Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Paul DerOhannesian is prosecuting the case.
