Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced the release of a new PS5 sales model, amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the PS5 Pro price. The company revealed that it will be selling Sony-certified PS5 refurbished products through the PS Direct homepage.
The refurbished product model, based on the CFI-1018A model, is the original release specification. Although it has not been confirmed whether a digital model will be sold, the price of the refurbished product is set at $399 (approximately 534,660 won) and 389 euros (approximately 574,039 won). This is $100 (approximately 134,000 won) and 110 euros (approximately 162,350 won) cheaper than the original release price of the PS5, which was $499 and 499 euros, respectively.
The refurbished product components are the same as the previous PS5 version, including a certified refurbished PS5 console, certified refurbished DualSense, DualSense charging cable, Astro Playroom game, stand, HDMI cable, AC power cord, and manual. Although refurbished products may have minor cosmetic imperfections, they are provided with a 1-year warranty. Due to expected high demand, refurbished products are limited to one unit per order.
