A significant ‍scrub fire‍ is actively ‍spreading ⁢through farmland near Napier, in the Hawke’s Bay region of​ New Zealand. The fire is located on Puketitiri Road, close to the settlement of Puketapu.

As of October 15, 2025,⁣ at 22:36 NZDT, Fire and Emergency ‌New Zealand (FENZ) has deployed considerable resources to combat the blaze, including nine fire trucks and two helicopters.These resources are focused on containing the fire and preventing further spread.

FENZ reports ⁢that the fire currently encompasses approximately⁣ 200 meters by 400 meters of ‍land. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
