Last year was the least violent – as measured by homicides– of the President’s administration Lopez Obrador. According to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, 2023 closed with 29,405 homicidesfifteen hundred less than in 2022. That means there was a 5% decrease compared to the previous year.
