Senate: MC will challenge reforms endorsed by Morena and allies: Clemente

This afternoon Senator Clemente Castaneda Hoeflich, coordinator of the parliamentary group of Movimiento Ciudadano in the Senate, spoke out against the reforms approved by the Morena bench last night in what they maintain was an “improvised plenary session”.

The Jalisco senator stated that such acts have violated all legislative process and assured that from the front he coordinates he will use all the resources and legal tools to stop this coup legislative.

“We say it clearly: last night the current constitutional order was broken. The legislative majority of Morena is not willing to negotiate or build agreements; use all your strength to destroy any brake to the ambition of the head of the Executive Power, be it the democratic opposition or the law”, said Clemente Castañeda.

Together, the senators from Morena and allies unleashed a series of leisurely reforms since Sunday’s session, which ended in approvals early this Saturdaythere were 20 endorsed reforms, however the senator Clemente highlighted the following reforms and its consequences.

“They endorsed the disappearance of Insabi, but instead of correcting and improving its deficiencies, it only perpetuate a system that failed and that has left millions of Mexicans without access to health services.

They approved a new Science Law that will centralize and will leave the academic community out of decisions, which as if that were not enough, will gives voice and vote to Sedena and Semar in the Governing Board of the new council.

The militarization of the country advances. In addition to approving the militarization of airspace, they endorsed the creation of a military airline and now the Sedena will keep 80% of the income from tourists previously allocated to Fonatur.

Morena broke her word in order to keep the INAI paralyzed and without parliamentary debate, violating the processes, they approved these harmful initiatives for Mexico.
