Serbia and Republika Srpska Unite in Grief: A Day of Mourning for the Fallen

Day ⁢of Mourning⁣ Declared in Serbia and Republika Srpska

The Government of‍ Serbia has declared 2 ⁣November as the Day of Mourning in accordance with the‌ Law on Observing the⁢ Day of Mourning in the Republic of Serbia.

This⁣ law stipulates that a day of​ mourning is declared in the​ event of a ‌particularly serious accident resulting in ⁢the loss of life, injury, or severe damage to the health of a large number of people.

Milorad Dodik, President ‍of ‌Republika Srpska, announced that⁢ a⁢ day of ⁣mourning will be observed in Srpska due ⁤to the tragic ⁣accident in Novi Sad. He extended his‍ condolences to ‌Serbian President​ Aleksandar Vučić and‍ the families of the victims.

“We mourn the loss of the victims and sympathize ⁤with ‌the pain of their families. Tomorrow​ will be ‍declared a day of mourning ‌in Republika Srpska,” President Dodik stated on social ‌media.

A devastating accident occurred at the Railway Station in Novi Sad, resulting in the loss of at‌ least eight ⁤lives. The incident ​took place around 12 o’clock, with multiple people reported injured.
