Last night, Sergio Hudson celebrated the 10th anniversary of his label with a runway show at the New York Public Library. The designs, described as timeless and commanding, were set against the backdrop of the library, creating a cinematic atmosphere. Notable attendees included Monica, Yolanda Adams, and Tamron Hall.
Hudson reflected on the milestone with ESSENCE, stating, “Every morning I get out of bed, and I get to do this for a living. I feel like This proves living Black history and showing and normalizing it for our community in this industry.”

The Fall/Winter 2026 collection, as reported by Fashion Bomb Daily, drew inspiration from legendary Black opera singers like Leontyne Price and Aretha Franklin. The collection featured tailored stretch suiting, American sportswear, and sculpted silhouettes. Materials included mohair, cashmere, suede, and embossed leather, alongside silk charmeuse and embellished bustiers.

Hudson explained that his clothing aims to help women “find their inner strength,” adding, “I think that’s more of a spiritual thing than it is a physical thing, because I put a lot of love into what I do.”

The show culminated in a series of dramatic evening gowns, including a purple velvet gown, a sequined blue masterpiece with a cape, and a black gown with an extravagant tulle train.
