Muscat: The Oman News Agency reported that two naval ships Shabab Oman arrived in the Swedish port of Gothenburg with the message of peace. The ship, which arrived from the German port of Keel, received a warm welcome. It will be anchored here for three days. These days, the public and others have the opportunity to visit.
One of the highlights of the visit is the photo exhibition on the ship, which illustrates the history and heritage of the Sultanate. Shabab arrived in Oman in two seasons after taking part in ‘Keel Maritime Week 2022’ in Germany. The voyage to the European subcontinent, entitled ‘Oman, the Land of Peace’, began on April 11 from the Sultanate. The ship has already crossed more than 7,500 nautical miles.
The voyage seeks to spread the message of friendship and brotherhood between the Sultanate and the various nations of the world by introducing the naval history and ancient heritage of the country. As part of the voyage, the ship reached the ports of Heraklion in Greece, Catania and Syracuse in Italy, Evisa and Ibiza in Spain, Dubrovnik in Croatia and the West Indian Docks in England.
Many people come here to see the anchored ship and to learn about the voyage. As part of his world tour, he will visit 30 ports in 18 countries. On November 7 last year, the Oman naval ship ‘Shabab Oman II’ toured the GCC countries with the message of friendship.
