Presidential Elections in Chile: New Survey Reveals Top Contenders

A recent survey by The Citizen’s Pulse has revealed the top contenders for the 2025 presidential elections in Chile. The survey asked citizens, “Who would you prefer to be the next president of Chile, not including Gabriel Boric?”

Evelyn Mattei, the current mayor of Providencia, remains in first place on the presidential list with 26.3% of the vote, almost four points more than in September. Tomás Vodanovic, the re-elected mayor of Maipú, has joined the list of presidential choices, coming in fourth place.

After his victory in the municipal elections with 70% of the votes, Vodanovic referred to the possibility of being a presidential candidate in the future, saying, “I’m not ruling it out, I’m 34 years old, I have a long life ahead of me, I don’t know what I’m going to do in the future.”

  • José Antonio Kast: 12.7%
  • Michelle Bachelet: 10.7%
  • Tomás Vodanovic: 5.3%
