Miraculously, Van Gisbergen emerged from the wreckage unscathed. However, the damage to his car was extensive, forcing him to withdraw from the subsequent 20-lap feature race, which was ultimately won by James Dahm.

“Well, that was my first flip ever,” Van Gisbergen said with a smile. ”Unfortunately got collected by someone and took a bit of a ride. thanks to the safety crew for doing an amazing job.”
Despite the setback, Van Gisbergen remained upbeat, staying at the speedway to interact with fans and sign autographs. His team worked tirelessly to repair the car, but the extent of the damage made a return to the track that night unlikely.
