The news was shared on Friday’s Today broadcast by co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and others.The Today family mourned the loss of Uche Ojeh, celebrating his life and legacy.
Guthrie expressed the deep sorrow felt for Jones and her three children.She described Uche Ojeh as an unbelievable person whom they all loved.
Melvin, a close friend of Ojeh, emphasized his dedication to his children. He noted Ojeh’s constant presence at their activities, from soccer games to concerts.
Guthrie also highlighted Ojeh’s strong faith throughout his illness. She said his faith was evident every day of his fight, describing him as an exceptional person.

Uche and Sheinelle met as college sweethearts at Northwestern University.Sheinelle, then a freshman, gave Uche, a high school senior visiting the campus, a tour. They married in Philadelphia in September 2007 after dating for eight years, following his proposal at their alma mater.
Uche Ojeh is survived by Sheinelle and their three children: Kayin, and twins Uche and Clara.
